Here's hoping you have a wonderful 50th birthday celebration. I know that you are very excited to hit the half century mark.... Wow, that sounds old, but not according to Pres. Brewer....you are a "seasoned" citizen. Well turning 50 was enough seasoning for me for a while. You still have a few more years before that seasoning turns into "senior" citizen, so enjoy while you can. I'm sure you will not feel any different than when you were 49.
The gospel (Christ) is our anchor, and the last 50 years has been just a short glimpse of our entire existence, so here's hoping the next 50 will be even better for you and your wife.
I'm sure glad I got the chance to be your compadre 29 years ago this month. You were a great missionary...who woulda thunk that 2 ex-Catholic boys would be the first LDS missionaries to go door to door in Kirtland, OH??? Now that's history. I'll never forget Dowds & Steigerwald.
